I knew from a young age that I wanted to be an artist.

At the Minneapolis School of Art, I started out focused on painting, but in my second year, photography captured my interest. I decided to leave school and begin my career as a photographer.

I eventually opened M. Jensen Photography, Inc., my own studio in NE Minneapolis, and built a career in Advertising Photography.

After retiring from photography, I began painting in earnest. The work you see here is a direct result of my renewed passion for creating images in oil.

You can find me most days at the Cowles Center in downtown Minneapolis or at my studio in Northern Minnesota.
